Martin Lowe passes his University course in forensic collision investigation at De Montfort University.
Martin has recently completed a nine months distance learning programme and has successfully passed his assessments and final examination, which has lead to the award of the University Continuing Professional Development Certificate (UCPDC) at Level 4.
The course is used by many UK police forces to train their accident investigators and is recognised worldwide and includes a one week residential summer school with AiTS of Aerial View, Birlip Gloucester. The Directors of AiTS and their instructors are all ex police accident investigators.
After successfully completing the course Martin is able to use the recognised techniques of mathematics and physics to reconstruct road traffic collisions allowing him to give official opinion on who is to blame. his findings are presented clearly in a written report and as a result Martin is classed as an expert witness for both criminal and civil courts.
First Legal Director Andrew Drewary said “Martin’s achievement is just reward for all the hard work he has put in over the last 12 months. It shows our commitment as a company to invest in its employees to ensure we are able to continue to provide the best possible service to our customers. This specialised area of work is a fantastic addition to our portfolio.”
